Job Description: Business Analyst – Subscription Management + Ecommerce (Selling Software Subscription)

This role is to onboard a Business Analyst who supports establishment of collocated SCRUM teams. Such team includes high Programming experience + Product Subject Matter Experts + Architects + DevOps + additional Test Automation skills. A strong candidate will work closely with Product Managers, Business Owners, and Technology teams to ensure requirements are in place and understood. Responsible for ensuring acceptance criteria alignment by working closely with Product Owner, Scrum Master & development team to carry out typical BA tasks.

Platform Description – Digital Supply Chain (DSC): DSC is a Schneider Global Initiative to build an E2E Digital Supply Chain to Digitize licenses’ delivery for all SW offers (no more paper), Enable new monetization models (shift from perpetual licenses to recurring and SaaS), Implement ordering, entitlement, provisioning, and delivery capabilities for software customer journeys; By digitizing manufacturing processes, lowering lead times, streamlining customer transactions, and enhancing software install base tracking we are transforming how we deliver our software licenses. Deployment of DSC platform offers happens globally across multiple geographies and countries
Role Responsibilities:

  • Gathering & documenting requirements, Document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis.
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
  • Participating in user story creation and backlog grooming in an agile delivery methodology. Capturing architectural decisions in requirements, Aligning overall scope and sequencing recommendations with product manager.
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with clients/users to analyze information needs and functional requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Serve as the conduit between the users, software development and the QA team through which requirements flow.
  • Develop requirements specifications such as Business Requirements Document, use cases, wire-frames UI side, process flows according to standard templates, using natural language Must be excellent in organizing information.
  • Must be able to develop and gauge user priorities and values on new feature requests while keeping development resource velocity in mind
  • Able to actively manage and prioritize multiple activities at the same time. Comfortable to work in multiple domain environment.
  • Partners with Product Owner(s) to ensure continuous refinement of backlog, which may include stories from multiple projects. Assist the Product Owner with the Product Backlog.
  • Expert in usage of JIRA & Confluence Agile tools and can teach Scrum Practices and Principles. Utilizing artifacts such as JIRA, Confluence and Business Process Documentation to facilitate requirement alignment sessions

  • Work with the Product Owner/Business team in effective Pre-Planning.
  • Support/Discuss with the Product Owners, especially with the objective to refine and manage the respective product backlog. (Goal: Improve the Product Owners effectiveness by helping maintain the Product Backlog and ensures User Stories are detailed enough)
  • Deliver capabilities using agile practices while also following the Software Development Lifecycle, business process mapping, and various release processes as appropriate to ensure all risk, security, and development requirements are met
  • Result oriented and ready to take ownership, desire to make impact and high work ethics.

Qualifications: Required Skills
  • 5+ years working experience in a Business Analyst role for a technology software product team, with at least 2+ years’ experience in Ecommerce domain (preferably selling software product / license).
  • Preferred experience in Software Subscription management and Software licensing domain.
  • Should understand the end-to-end project context – BRD to deployment/releases in an Agile environment with stand-up meetings, releases etc.
  • Experience in subscription billing management tools like Zuora Billing and Licensing tools like Flexera FNO is preferred.
  • Experience in UI/UX designing with respect to ecommerce website feature & functionality is needed.
  • Experience in working knowledge on design/architecture of headless/independent microservices/API is needed.
  • Experience providing requirements for medium to large initiatives
  • Experience working with both Agile and Scrum with Jira and Confluence
  • Demonstrated experience translating strategy into feature development roadmaps
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) including development of scripts and conducting UAT with end users.
  • Expert with Agile and Scrum and its application in Software Product Development and delivery with Expert knowledge of Jira and Confluence tools usage.
  • Experience of working in a global organization is preferred
