Job Summary

:

Pratt and Whitney is seeking a candidate to join our Product Definition team in Mechanical Systems, Externals and Nacelles (MSEN) department. The candidate will have the opportunity to create/maintain parametric solid models and associated drawings related to externals components such as (Tubes, Brackets, Fittings, Machines Mounts) etc., per Product Definition standard work. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.

Key Responsibilities

  • The creation of 3D part models in NX/CAD software under minimal supervision.
  • The creation of 2D drawings and/or 3D Model Based Definition (MBD) under minimal supervision.
  • The creation of Engineering changes, Drawings per (Tube, Brackets, Fittings, mounts) specs, Development to Production Drawings, Reoperation Drawings among others.
  • The creation of engineering documentation that aids in the release/revision of engineering drawings.
  • Work closely with Designers to incorporate their design intent into the model and drawings.
  • English (read, write, speak) is required when communicating with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak English
  • Basic Qualifications:

  • AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with 8 years of experience in drafting.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of a 3D parametric solid modeling course preferred.
  • 4 years with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing preferred (ASME Y14.5).
  • 4 years of experience with NX/CAD and Teamcenter/NX Manager tools and processes.
