Tetra Tech Inc. is currently seeking a Engineer or Architect for a disaster recovery infrastructure and revitalization program in Puerto Rico. The successful candidate will have experience with federal program compliance and extraordinary attention to detail. They will be responsible for functions assigned to them under the supervision of the Program Manager.
Location: Puerto Rico
This job is a Section 3 eligible job opportunity. We encourage applicants from individuals that are low income and/or living in Public Housing.
The candidate should have the following qualifications:
Licensed Engineer or Architect for the last ten (10) years in Puerto Rico
Previous project experience in the development of federally funded construction projects within the last five (5) years.
Bilingual in Spanish and English
The candidate will ideally have experience:
Performing pre-application evaluations to determine CDBG-DR project eligibility
Performing risk assessment evaluations of eligible projects,
Reviewing workplans for the implementation of eligible projects
Preparing and implementing workplans for environmental review performance
Coordinating and performing construction documentation review at 30% and 90% design phase,
Providing expertise and knowledge on the applicability of the most recent federal, and local construction codes that may apply to CDBG-DR programs.

Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously; set priorities and plan work to meet deadlines
Ability to identify problems and develop solutions, working well in a team environment
Ability to follow established procedures
Ability to work attentively with minimal supervision and set priorities
Workdays more than 8 hours and/or weekend attendance may be required
Intuition and forward-thinking is a plus while working to accomplish goals
