About the role


To ensure that data services operate flawlessly on the analytics platform, with robust pipeline execution and strong data quality controls in place to ensure data quality to Vodafone. Is accountable for defining and improving the operational framework – working with central team, shared services and local markets. Owns the data services roadmap in terms of new capabilities as well as release planning of onboarding new pipelines – with a key focus on identification and mitigiating associated risks.


The individual will own the execution of the data services across the data ocean services and analytics scope; closely with project teams ccountable for implementing capabilities that set up development for success and lead to flawless transition to operations. Proactively plans for the commissioning of new data services to avoid conflicts\contention that could impact either operational service or new developments. Proven track record of delivering GCP at scale or major cloud big data and analytics services.


As a Manager Data Services Delivery, you´ll be in charge of the following responsibilities:


  • High level and low level design of data pipelines
  • Data services framework to ensure robust integrity of data and integration with markets
  • Drive cost efficiency through efficient architecture and configuration of data delivery services
  • Ensure security policies are implemented and change control processes adhered to


What do you bring?


  • Expertise in building & supporting large enterprise data integration solutions
  • Expertise in cloud technical architectures and deployment models (serveless vs server managed)
  • Expertise in setup and configuration of GCP services, tools and product at scale, aws/azure
  • EDW and etl layers expertise
  • Proven track record in managing platforms and developing roadmapswithin a complex environment
  • Strong marketing, stakeholder management, communication and facilitation skills.
  • Expertise in managing Semantic layers
  • Knowledge of the ELT/EDW Data Wrangling processes
  • Experience driving major complex Data Movement projects
  • Ability to work under high pressure & to deliver through others in a matrix organisation and experience in cross-cultural working environments
