We’re hiring for a Junior Project Accountant as part of Merkle in Barcelona.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting senior project accountants with the day-to-day financial management of projects.
• Assist in the preparation of project budgets and forecasts.
• Track and report project expenses, including the preparation of invoices and purchase orders.
• Monitor project financials and provide regular updates to the project management team.
• Ensure that project expenses are within budget.
• Collaborate with project managers to identify and resolve any financial issues.
• Assist in the preparation of project financial reports and presentations.
• Perform other financial tasks as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial analysis.
• Proficient in data analysis, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Experience with project accounting and budgeting is a plus.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Key Competencesare communication, teamwork, initiative, and dependability.
• Strong English language skills (written and spoken).
