Summary of position :
LES Cultural Officer (LE-07)
Under the direction of the Counsellor Cultural Diplomacy, Education and Youth : Collaborating with colleagues from the Cultural Diplomacy and the Education programs and in coordination with colleagues from Advocacy and Communications Programs, the Cultural Officer (Digital Production) contributes to the communication of Canadian interests and values, by developing, implementing and monitoring the impact of a comprehensive cultural digital program, which aims to ensure Canada’s strong cultural presence in digital media and also through various innovative platforms of communications.
LES Advocacy Officer (LE-07)
Under the direction of the Counsellor Public Affairs : In collaboration with colleagues from the Embassy’s various programs (especially Political, Trade and Immigration) and in coordination with colleagues from the Cultural Diplomacy, the Education and the Communications Programs, this position in the Embassy of Canada’s Public Affairs section develops and carries out advocacy plans and activities related to Government of Canada priorities and interests in Germany and with the goal of promoting Canadian values and brand.
Essential qualifications : Candidates will initially be screened against the Essential Qualifications relating to education, experience and language.
Candidates must clearly demonstrate in their cover letter and CV how they meet each of these essential qualifications.
Exact level of language proficiency needs to be stated in the cv.
Work experience in an office environment to include the following activities :
Significant experience* developing and implementing digital product and social media campaigns AND
Experience working in (or in collaboration with) cultural or governmental or NGOs organizations; and / or experience in negotiations and in interacting with artists or government officials or members of the civil society
The Rated Requirements relating to knowledge, abilities and competencies will also be assessed. Methods of assessment may include, but are not limited to, a written examination, an oral interview, role-play, practical tests, presentations and / or psychometric assessment.
Asset Qualifications : Preference may be given to candidates who meet the Asset Qualifications. Where applicable, candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet any asset qualifications in their cover letter and CV.
