Description and Requirements

Business Continuity Manager

The primary focus of this role is to continuously improve the company’s preparedness and planning for response to adverse events.

Responsible for day-to-day management of in-region continuity planners whose primary activities include creating, updating and exercising Business Continuity Plans.

Responsible as regional point person for business continuity activities.

Main Responsibilities :

Manage In-Region Continuity Planners

Day to day oversight of workload and quality

First point of escalation

Document Continuity Plans

Work with Operational leadership to determine Business Impact Analysis for the BU

Work with Operational leadership to determine continuity strategy

Document continuity plan according to corporate templates

Pursue and obtain approval(s) on documented plans

Exercise Continuity Plans

Determine type of exercise required for the BU

Direct and coordinate various teams (Ops, IT, Facilities, Physical Security) to schedule and conduct the exercise.

Document results of exercise

Help identify test failure root cause(s) (if applicable) and direct remediation activities and retesting.

Support Audits

Respond to audit requests for continuity / exercise documentation

Attend audit meetings as requested

Effectively escalate issues

Perform and / or support others in the identification and management of BC project-related risks

Assist with the creation of budget requests / proposals, business cases, etc. for various BC activities

Monitor and prepare management reports on BC-related plans, progress to plans, budgets, risks, and opportunities.

Coordinate and deliver BC-related awareness, training, and educational activities, exercises / tests, etc.

Assist in a crisis to implement BC plans, address operational issues, communicate clearly and effectively, etc.

Evaluate the effectiveness of IT / Network DR processes in tests and in actual events, providing appropriate feedback and following up on lessons to ensure they are learned .

Accomplish other tasks required by the immediate supervisor.

Call Center Operations - Advanced

Studies & Experience :

University Degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Management or Marketing is a Plus.

Client Facing Experience - Desirable

Business process change management experience

Business Continuity Planning experience desired but not required. DRII certification (ABCP) is a definite plus.

Experience supporting leadership members in an operational or project role is a plus.

Emergency Response, Disaster Recovery or Business Continuity training desired
