Description

As a Support Technician I, you relish the fact that you are the first point of contact for all IT related concerns for our 3000+ internal users.

You constantly strive to exceed user's expectations regarding support needs through superior customer service and follow through until resolution.

You understand that maintaining outstanding levels of customer service requires a relentless thirst for knowledge, an innate ability to find root causes of problems and clearly understood escalation paths.

You take pride knowing that your users are well taken care of, always. You focus 85% of your energy on tactics with little project work interruption.

As a Support Technician I , you will :

  • Solve problems constantly by quickly and accurately responding to requests for support in all areas of the business including services, hardware and software.
  • Ensure your users have the best tools available by repairing / refreshing equipment and through maintenance of account permissions and settings.
  • Help introduce new employees to the company through configuration of new user accounts.
  • Become well versed and knowledgeable in all areas of IT including servers, networking, applications and development.
  • Consistently and accurately manage our inventory of IT assets.
  • Understand that proper documentation is critical and thus update procedures and create procedures that do not exist.
  • Participate and be an integral part of various types of IT related projects ranging from infrastructure to development.
  • Thrive off of a team environment and enjoy working with and supporting IT resources, Project Managers, Sales, Marketing and Operations.
  • Willingly and occasionally work nights and weekends to appropriately support the business.
  • Travel, on occasion, to any of our numerous call centers in the US to lend a helping hand and interface with other System Technicians.

As a Support Technician I, you must have :

  • Experience using Windows 10, Mac OS, 0365, Active Directory, and PDF Tools.
  • Knowledge of desktop and laptop hardware.
  • Knowledge of Cisco IP desk phones.
  • Knowledge of hard drive imaging, network drive mapping, and printer and webcam setup.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • A High School diploma, GED or equivalent, with some post-secondary education.
  • 0-2 years of related experience.
  • Any equivalent combination of directly related education and experience may substitute for the above requirements.

Ideally, you will also have :

Microsoft Certified Professional Certificate, CompTIA A+ Certificate

What else you can expect :

Physical Demands :

Requires sitting or standing for extended periods of time.

Extensive use of a computer and repetitive hand movements in the performance of duties.

Occasional lifting and carrying of material weighing up to twenty pounds may be required

Equipment Operated : Personal computer, printers, fax, copier and telephone.

Environmental Factors : None.

Where Would You Work?

This position will be available as remotely based or located at one of our CyraCom offices in Costa Rica.

Duties not listed in this position description may be required of the employee at the discretion of management. The incumbent may delegate all or any of his / her duties to qualified personnel;

however, such delegation does not relieve him / her of overall responsibility and accountability for the successful conduct of those duties.
